Fun Fieldtrips With a Purpose!

We host school/youth tours weekdays from mid October 1st until November 2nd between 8:30 AM and 3:00 PM. All boys and girls love tractors, pumpkins, and fun. At Gilmore's it is our pleasure to give kids this country experience.

Our guided tour takes one hour. During the tour students will learn:

Learn about pumpkins "The Vine Crop"
Learn about the development of baby chicks
Hold baby chicks
Learn why we raise corn and soy beans & what they are used for
and much more!

Besides your guided tour, you also get a hayride to the pumpkin patch where each child will pick one pumpkin (3-5 lbs). Then as your time allows, you will have free time to visit our petting zoo which features a variety of farm animals, such as a calf, pigs, chickens, sheep and goats, that LOVE to eat out of your hand. Enjoy our 40 foot tunnel slide and the kiddie-playland, the lasso corral and much more! We have picnic tables available to enjoy a sack lunch.

The whole experience takes an entire school day. Pack a lunch and enjoy the day with us.

$5 per child - includes a pumpkin
$5 per adult - includes a pumpkin
No charge for teachers and their aids.
